Construction Site Injuries:

Each year thousands of construction workers are injured or killed in construction site accidents. The owners, architects, and manufacturers of equipment can be held responsible for inadequate safety provisions. The general contractor and all subcontractors are required to provide a reasonably safe site, to warn of hazards inherent in the site and work, to hire qualified employees, to conduct job safety training, and to supervise compliance within safety guidelines. Manufacturers of construction equipment are responsible for designing and maintaining safe products. Defective or dangerous products may include the following: scaffolding, cranes, power tools, derricks, hoists, conveyors, woodworking tools, ladders, winches, trucks, graters, scrapers, tractors, bulldozers, forklifts, back hoes, heavy equipment, boilers, pressure vessels, gas detectors and other types of construction equipment. Therefore, it is often possible to find liable third parties in the event of a construction related injury. This often important because Worker’s Compensation benefits do not provide compensation for the pain and suffering that a person endures as a result of an accident.

Our Business Group, led by Rich Rochlin, represents both borrowers and lenders in all types of syndicated and non-syndicated commercial, specialized and asset-based lending transactions.  We also represent lenders in connection with work-outs of the foregoing transaction types. 

We represent two prominent personalities that work for the Howard Stern Show and appear regularly on Howard TV (Howard Stern's InDemand programming).  In connection with such representation, we negotiate personal appearances, sponsorship agreements, music development deals and employment agreements on their behalf.  We also represent a growing list of stand-up comics in their professional endeavors and negotiate many of the same arrangements on their behalf.

We represent several prominent institutions in their capacities as collateral agent, trustee, paying agent and registrar in a wide range of private and publicly listed financings (and work-outs of the same) throughout the world.

We represent a wide variety of organizations and individuals in forming, organizing and establishing their entity of choice.  Our Business Group has succesfully negotiated joint venture agreements, operating agreements and shareholders' agreements for organizations and indiviuduals engaged in an array of business ventures.  We have also worked with a variety of entity types to ensure compliance with state law and minority shareholder rights.
